Zelensky reiterates embargo demands for Russian oil and gas
„Ukraine does not have time to wait. Freedom does not have time to wait. When tyranny launches aggression against everything that keeps peace in Europe, action must be taken immediately. It is necessary to act in a principled fashion,“ he said.
„And the oil embargo should be the first step. At the level of all democracies, the whole civilized world. Then Russia will feel it. Then it will be an argument for them – to seek peace, to stop pointless violence.“

Why Pakistan’s Leader Is Facing the Risk of Ouster
(April 8, 2022)
Pakistan’s military has outsized power for a country conceived as a democracy. There have been three successful military coups. When Khan became prime minister, it was only the second time since Pakistan achieved independence in 1947 that a civilian administration had transferred power to another. Even when elected governments have ruled, the military, especially the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, has played a forceful role.

(08.04.2022)
On Wednesday, Idit Silman, a right-wing member of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, announced her defection from Bennett’s political party, Yamina, robbing the government of its majority.
The coalition whip is said to have resigned after reports of middle-of-the-night secret meetings between the former PM and Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu, who is desperate for a political comeback.
The crisis comes after a series of deadly attacks in Israel that killed 11 Israelis, putting high pressure on the government.
The Common Thread Between Recent Terror Attacks in Israel
To the bystander, it’s clear that this government’s prospects of serving out its full term were very much reduced on Wednesday. Even if an election is still a complicated and distant scenario, the political turmoil aids the revolution that opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to foment at a critical moment in his trial, when the testimony of Shlomo Filber, who has turned state’s evidence, raises the danger of a prison term for the former prime minister.
