About 20,000 protesters are gathered outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence in Jerusalem Saturday evening for the tenth week in a row, calling for his resignation, as tensions with police run high following documented incidents of police violence at last week’s protest.
Parallel protests were held outside Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea and at over 300 bridges and major intersections nationwide.
Earlier in the evening, about 1,000 protesters marched from the Chords Bridge near the entrance to the city toward Balfour Street, where the residence is located, despite not receiving a permit for the march from the police.
Meanwhile, demonstrators from the „Black Flag“ movement, who call to defend Israel’s democracy from what they perceive as Netanyahu’s government attacks against it, have already gathered at some 300 intersections, junctions and bridges across Israel.

In Jerusalem, over five thousand protesters gathered on Balfour Street, across from Netanyahu’s official residence. A group of some 20 right-wing activists participated in a counter-protesting nearby.
Fences and roadblocks were placed Thursday night around Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private house in Caesarea, as well as around all houses adjacent to his home, Hebrew-language outlet Walla News reported.
