Intel report warns large-scale war ‘unlikely’ to oust Iran’s regime

A classified report by the National Intelligence Council found that even a large-scale assault on Iran launched by the United States would be unlikely to oust the Islamic republic’s entrenched military and clerical establishment, a sobering assessment as the Trump administration raises the specter of an extended military campaign that officials say has “only just begun.”

Germany’s Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil has ruled out joining the US-Israeli war in Iran, saying he has “great doubts that this war is legitimate under international law”.

Roberto Morales Ojeda: “Dignity Never Collapses”

Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, emphasized on his social media profiles that “dignity never collapses,” recalling critical moments in national history.

The leader noted that neither in the disaster at La Fernandina for National Hero José Martí, nor at Alegría de Pío for the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, nor in the October Crisis, was the option of surrender considered. “The enemy’s dream of seeing the white flag waving above the palm fronds is their true, unfulfilled desire,” he declared.

Morales Ojeda emphasized that this is not about isolated gestures from those who abandon collective resistance, but rather a major surrender that would bring an end to the history of the Cuban people’s struggles.

He pointed out that the country is going through difficult times under the impact of the imposed blockade, while the enemy boasts of causing shortages and is betting on the fall of the Revolution to gain political advantages. “However, no people has withstood the onslaught of the giant for so long,” he affirmed.

The Secretary of Organization stressed that independence is at stake and that “Only our sense of patriotism and unity have kept us safe.” “We will remain here, even if they never see the white flag waving above our palms,” he concluded.

Joint Statement of the Communist Parties of Iran, Israel, and the United States Against the War

The Communist Parties of Iran (Tudeh), Israel (CPI) and the United States (CPUSA) published on Friday, March 6, a joint statement against the war on Iran: “The war of aggression launched by the Netanyahu criminal government and the United States Imperialism in the early hours of Saturday morning against Iran has ignited a full-scale war and dragged the region and its peoples towards more disasters and civilian casualties – all in the service of imperialist interests, against the interests of peoples, their independence and their right to self-determination in an effort to dominate and control the region and the world.

“The Trump Administration’s declaration of its intention to “regime change” in a sovereign country in the region and elsewhere in the Latin American continent is a gross trampling on the sovereignty and dignity of peoples and a dismantling of the meaning of the existence of international law and all previously established norms, even if they are not often for the benefit of the peoples, and it is a danger that grows with every war and aggression of the United States and Israel.

“The experiences of the peoples in Palestine, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Lebanon and in every country in the southern half of the globe facing colonialism and imperialism cannot be overlooked – true liberation and salvation from reactionary and authoritarian regimes and their change can only come with the action of the people and patriotic leadership – not from Washington or Tel Aviv.

Stop Bombing Iran

We oppose the US-Israeli illegal war on Iran which is setting the Middle East alight. The war has already escalated into a region-wide conflict. Many hundreds have been killed, including 160 at a girls‘ school in southern Iran.

The UK must not be dragged into yet another disastrous US-led conflict in the Middle East.

We demand that the UK Government:

– Condemns the illegal war on Iran and calls for an immediate de-escalation of hostilities.

– Guarantees that no UK military bases, resources, territory nor airspace will be used by the US or any other military force as part of this war.

– Immediately suspends all arms sales and military support to Israel.

The UK must stand for peace, diplomacy and international law — not escalation and endless war.

Sign this petition to demand that Britain stays out of the war on Iran.

Iran blasts UN chief for downplaying US-Israeli atrocities

“This is not ‚the fighting‘; this is an ‚unprovoked act of aggression‘ launched by two nuclear armed regimes against Iran.“

The spokesman reminded that the attacks took place, while diplomatic efforts were ongoing between Tehran and Washington as was the case concerning the previous round of unlawful Israeli-American aggression towards the nation, which took place last June.

„We WERE in ‚serious diplomatic negotiations‘ while the U.S./Israel attacked Iran, for a second time during the past 9 months.“

The official also criticized the secretary-general‘s focus on economic concerns instead of civilian casualties inside Iran.

„You are concerned about ‚grave risk to the global economy‘; what about the innocent civilians, including 175 little angels slaughtered in the City of Minab, and many more killed and maimed across Iran during the past 7 days of American/Israeli criminal acts?!“

A manifesto from Iran: No to war

(March 2, 2026)

Netanyahu and the hawks in Washington are explicitly aiming, through warmongering rhetoric, sanctions, and threats, to destabilize and weaken our country. The tragedies of January 2026 — like any other suffering — can in no way justify war, nor the imposition of further pain on our compatriots, nor the destruction of Iran in any form.

We, Iranians of different political affiliations, unhesitatingly oppose any aggression against our country. We are convinced that the solution — however difficult to achieve — lies within Iran itself: in constructive change, in the renewal of society, in transformation from the bottom up. This is the way forward. Not war.

That is why we call for a strong and unanimous voice to be raised against any warmongering logic. In the face of any aggression, we will stand by our country. And we invite all our fellow citizens — especially those with a voice, visibility, and credibility — to join this opposition with even greater determination.
