Jerusalem Governorate: Occupation Deepens Isolation of Northwest Jerusalem with Contact Permits Leading to Silent Annexation
(today)
The Jerusalem Governorate stated in a press release today, Thursday, that since the beginning of September, the occupation has started issuing what is known as „contact area permits“ for the residents of Nabi Samuel, the Khalayleh neighborhood, and Beit Iksa, which means that no person without this permit will be allowed to cross the military checkpoint that separates the three villages from their surroundings, imposing a new reality of complete isolation and subjecting the movement in and out of these villages to what is called „military approval from the occupation“.
The new decision requires residents to obtain special „magnetic cards“ that are renewed every four years, while permits to enter the contact areas are granted for only one year and are exclusively designated for access to the three villages without allowing movement within the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Israel imposes de facto annexation on three communities in Jerusalem
(September 29, 2025)
The Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a new restriction on Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuil villages, and the Al-Khalayleh neighborhood, northwest of occupied East Jerusalem.
As per the new restriction which came into effect on Saturday, September 20, the residents of the affected areas were given permits with a label saying: “authorized to enter Israel”.
The move has been considered as a de facto annexation because it removed the communities from the Palestinian administrative registry, placing them under direct Israeli control instead.
Although these communities are classified within Areas “B” and “C” under the Oslo Accords, which means they should be administratively managed by the Palestinian Authority, Israel has imposed its sovereignty over them with its new restriction.
On 29 October, our teams across the Gaza Strip treated severely wounded patients from attacks by Israeli forces, which caused alarming civilian casualties.
We have seen injured patients in Al-Aqsa, Nasser, and Al-Shifa hospitals.
Dr Morten Rostrup, a doctor at Al-Aqsa hospital, said: “When I got to the emergency room, it was a desperate situation. There is no doubt this is an attack on civilians, with so many children being injured and killed. Do we really call this a ceasefire?”
In Nasser hospital, our, and the Ministry of Health’s, teams received 22 dead and 60 injured, including children. Al-Aqsa hospital treated 77 injured, some of whom were referred to our field hospital. Lastly, at Al-Shifa, Ministry of Health teams received 27 dead and 56 injured.
Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have killed 211 people, according to the Ministry of Health. In the past 24 hours alone, they report that Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 104 people — including 46 children and 20 women — and injured 253 others, among them 78 children.
We have repeatedly called for a sustained ceasefire to stop the overwhelming level of death and catastrophic injuries suffered by civilians. So far, we are witnessing the consequences of repeated violations of this ceasefire, which perpetuate the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Aoun Orders Army to Confront Any Israeli Incursion, Calls Blida Attack “New Violation of Sovereignty”
The directive came during a meeting this morning at Baabda Palace with Army Commander General Rudolph Haykal, who briefed the President on the details of last night’s Israeli incursion into Blida, during which municipal employee Ibrahim Salamehwas killed while performing his duties.
President Aoun condemned the attack, describing it as “part of a continuous pattern of Israeli aggression” and noting that it occurred “shortly after the meeting of the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee (Mechanism), which must not limit itself to recording incidents, but act to end them by pressing Israel to respect the November ceasefire agreement and cease its violations of Lebanese sovereignty.”
Sleeping man killed in Israeli incursion into south Lebanon, Lebanese state media says
Israeli troops carried out an incursion into a southern Lebanese town overnight and killed a municipal employee who was sleeping in the local town hall, Lebanese state media said on Oct 30.
Israeli military confirmed the incident, saying that its forces had opened fire overnight during an operation to destroy the infrastructure of the militant group Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese town of Blida.
Lebanon’s army has deployed to the area but its media did not have further details to share. The United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon did not immediately have further details on the incident.
Israeli army kills municipal worker in raid on south Lebanon
Israel‘s military confirmed the raid, saying it was operating against Hezbollah infrastructure when its forces fired on a „suspect“.
Despite a November 2024 ceasefire with the Lebanese militant group, Israel maintains troops in five areas in southern Lebanon and has kept up regular air strikes.
JD Vance rejects claims of Israeli influence on Trump: ‚They are not controlling this president‘
Vance also directly rejected the idea of external control over the president, affirming, “So when people say that Israel is somehow manipulating or controlling the president of the United States, they are not controlling this president of the United States, which is one of the reasons why we have been able to have some of the success we have had in the Middle East.”
Vance reinforced his assertion of the president’s autonomy by referring to the negotiations surrounding the Gaza agreement.
Israel does not control President Trump, JD Vance affirms at TPUSA event
Vance was referring to a question as to Israel‘s alleged influence over US President Donald Trump‘s foreign policy.
„I’m a Christian man, and I’m just confused why there’s this notion that we might owe Israel something or that they are our greatest ally or that we have to support this multi-hundred-billion dollar foreign aid package to Israel to cover this – to quote Charlie Kirk – ethnic cleansing in Gaza,“ the student asked.
Cognitive confusion: Donald Trump refers to dementia screening as ‚very hard‘ IQ test
(October 29, 2025)
– The MoCA is a 10-to-15-minute cognitive screening tool designed to detect early signs of dementia or cognitive impairment. It assesses memory, attention, language, visuospatial skills and orientation.
– Neurologist Ziad Nasreddine, who developed the MoCA, has stated clearly: “There are no studies showing that this test is correlated to IQ tests. The purpose of it was not to determine persons who have a low IQ level.”
– Media analysis confirms that while Trump bragged about passing an “IQ test,” experts and documents show the exam used was a dementia screening, not an IQ or intelligence test.

President Donald Trump (voiceover): We have JD, obviously. The vice president, who’s great. I think Marco is great. I think … I’m not sure if anybody would run against those two. I think if they ever formed a group, it would be unstoppable. I really do. I believe that. I would—I would, I would love to do it. I have the best numbers ever. It’s very terrible. I have my best numbers. If you read it … am I not ruling it out? You’ll have to tell me. All I can tell you is that we have a a great group of people, which they don’t. They have Jasmine Crockett, a low-IQ person. They have AOC’s low-IQ. You give her an IQ test. Have her pass the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed. I took—those are really hard. They’re really aptitude tests, I guess in a certain way. But, they’re cognitive tests. Let AOC go against Trump. Let Jasmine go against Trump. I don’t think Jasmine—the first couple of questions are easy, a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe, you know. When you get up to about five or six, and then when you get up to 10 and 20 and 25, they couldn’t come close to answering any of those questions.
WATCH: Trump Mistakes India With Iran While Claiming Tariffs Stopped Nuclear War With Pakistan
(October 15, 2025)
US President Donald Trump once again found himself at the receiving end of trolls after he mistakenly confused India with Iran, calling the latter a nuclear power. Speaking to reporters at the White House in Washington, the 79-year-old said tariffs helped him prevent a ‚nuclear war‘ between Pakistan and Iran. „Tariffs are a very important tool for our defence, for our national security. If we don‘t have tariffs, we‘re not going to have national security,” Trump said. He claimed he was negotiating a trade deal with Iran, with Pakistan also in line. Trump said he warned both countries of a 200% tariff, and within 24 hours, the war stopped. He credited his actions with saving millions of lives.

The US President is not for the first time mistaken in his speeches. Thus, he named the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy the President of Russia. At a briefing, the American leader at first several times mentioned Zelenskyy correctly, but then accidentally stated that he is the President of Russia.
Earlier during his election speech, Trump named Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán „the leader of Turkey,“ confusing him with the current President of this country, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Trump Is Detaining a British Muslim Journalist for Criticizing Israel
On Saturday evening, Sami Hamdi was addressing a crowded audience in Sacramento, beseeching US politicians to take an “America First” approach, rather than “Israel First.” Hours later, US agents arrested Hamdi at an airport. (…)
The legal rationale for the arrest was unclear, but two unelected, far-right, Islamophobic figures quickly took credit: Laura Loomer and Amy Mekelburg.

Israel kills over 100 Palestinians in Gaza as Trump insists truce holds
“As I understand it, they took out an Israeli soldier,” Trump told reporters on board Air Force One as he travelled from Japan to South Korea, saying he heard the soldier was apparently killed by sniper fire. “So the Israelis hit back and they should hit back. When that happens, they should hit back,” he added, calling Israel’s attacks “retribution” for the soldier’s death.
Hamas has denied responsibility for the alleged attack on Israeli forces in Rafah, southern Gaza, and said in a statement that it remained committed to the ceasefire deal.
Trump tells Pentagon to immediately resume testing US nuclear weapons
It was not immediately clear whether Trump was referring to nuclear-explosive testing, which would be carried out by the National Nuclear Security Administration, or flight testing of nuclear-capable missiles.
No nuclear power, other than North Korea, has carried out explosive testing in more than 25 years.
