Zelenskyy, Scholz discuss vision of future security architecture
„Had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. A frank dialogue on many issues and our vision of future security architecture. We count on the unity of Europe around Ukraine and are working for this,“ Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.
He emphasized that „we all want a secure future for our people,“ and not a temporary ceasefire, but an end to the war forever.
Zelensky to take part in special European Council meeting on March 6
„We are living in a defining moment for Ukraine and European security,“ European Council President Antonio Costa said ahead of the summit.
Discussions will focus on strengthening support for Ukraine as Russia‘s full-scale invasion enters its fourth year. Participants will also discuss „European contributions to the necessary security guarantees required to ensure a lasting peace in Ukraine,“ the European Council said in a statement on its website.
U.S. concerned about Ukraine strikes on Russian nuclear radar stations

The drone that targeted the radar station near Orsk, in Russia’s Orenburg region along Kazakhstan’s northern border, traveled more than 1,100 miles, making it one of the deepest attempted strikes into Russian territory. The Ukrainian official declined to say whether the strike, on May 26, caused any damage.

Gaza death toll rises
The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza updated its total death toll since the start of Israel‘s war on Gaza.
The ministry says 35 fatalities, consisting of four newly killed, 30 found bodies and one person who succumbed to their wounds, brought the total to 48,440 killed since 7 October 2023.
