Versammlungsgesetz NRW: Verfassungsbeschwerde gegen Einschränkung der Versammlungsfreiheit eingereicht
Die Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte (GFF) erhebt heute gemeinsam mit dem Bündnis „Versammlungsgesetz NRW stoppen!“ Verfassungsbeschwerde gegen das seit Januar 2022 geltende Versammlungsgesetz in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Das umstrittene Gesetz war trotz schwerwiegender Bedenken von Sachverständigen und monatelanger Proteste auf der Straße fast unverändert von der schwarz-gelben Landesregierung im Jahr 2021 verabschiedet worden. Die schwarz-grüne Nachfolgeregierung hat in ihrem Koalitionsvertrag keine Änderungen am Versammlungsgesetz festgelegt.
