CAIR Director Nihad Awad: Texas terror designation ‘unconstitutional’

In an interview with our Arabic edition Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Awad said: „We defeated him three times in court when he ignored the rights of Texas citizens in the right to boycott against Israel.

We believe this is retaliation against the institution, and US courts do not allow any official in power to take revenge on an institution or place that defeated them in the judiciary.“

Founded in 1994, CAIR is the largest civil-rights and Muslim advocacy organisation in the United States. Headquartered in Washington, DC, it operates more than 35 regional offices nationwide.

CAIR Says ‘International law No Longer Exists’ After Another Palestinian Child Dies of Israeli-Imposed Starvation

“If Israel’s genocidal campaign of forced starvation can be carried out with impunity and with our own government’s support, international law no longer exists. Israel can seemingly violate all international laws and norms with an impunity that does not apply to any other nation on the planet. If international law is to have any meaning, the Trump administration and the world community must act immediately to stop Israel’s forced starvation, state terrorism, slaughter, mass destruction, and ethnic cleansing.”

American Muslim 2024 Election Task Force Calls on Muslim Voters to Turn Out, Support Candidates Who Back Permanent Ceasefire, Arms Embargo, and Other Just Policies

Our message for the American Muslim community

Disagree respectfully: we understand that voting is a personal choice, and our perspectives and personal analysis can lead us all in different directions. Thus, there may not be a definitively right or wrong answer to the question of how American Muslims should vote in 2024. We expect disagreements to occur.

Although healthy debate is valuable, our community members should not disparage each other or assume the worst of each other’s intentions—especially of leaders and groups that have a history of doing good work and acting in good faith.

We must also reject those voices on either side of the 2024 debate who attempt to turn political and strategic disagreement about how to vote into a racial or religious conflict that divides our community.
