Exclusive: European ministers to hold nuclear talks with Iran on Friday in Geneva, source says

The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain plan to hold nuclear talks with their Iranian counterpart on Friday in Geneva, a German diplomatic source told Reuters.
The ministers will first meet with the European Union‘s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, at Germany‘s permanent mission in Geneva before holding a joint meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, the source said.
Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 55,706
The Palestinian death toll in the war-torn Gaza Strip has so far risen to 55,706, with 130,101 others injured, since the outbreak of the conflict between Hamas and Israel on Oct 7, 2023, said Gaza‘s health authorities on Thursday.
Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks have claimed 69 more Palestinian lives and injured 221 others, according to Gaza‘s health authorities.
Death toll in Gaza rises to 75 since dawn
Israeli shelling has killed over 75 people, including children, across the Gaza Strip since Thursday morning, local media reported.
Dozens of injuries were recorded, some of them critical, with aid workers amongst the victims of the Israeli attacks.
CNN reporter visits hospital struck in Israel
CNN‘s International Diplomatic Editor, Nic Robertson, reports from Beer Sheva, Israel, where a hospital was struck during an Iranian attack. Iran said it was targeting an Israeli intelligence and command center “near a hospital.” There have been no reported deaths from the strike.
Israel strikes Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, state television says
Israel has attacked Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor, Iranian state television said Thursday.
The report said there was “no radiation danger whatsoever” and that the facility had already been evacuated before the attack.
Israel had warned earlier Thursday morning it would attack the facility and urged the public to flee the area.
Trump to make Iran decision ‚within the next two weeks‘ given ‚chance‘ of negotiations, Leavitt says
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday that President Donald Trump will make a decision on the U.S. becoming involved in Israel‘s conflict with Iran within the next two weeks.
„I have a message directly from the president, and I quote, ‚based on the fact that there‘s a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks,'“ Leavitt said at a White House briefing quoting Trump.
„That‘s a quote directly from the president for all of you today.“
More Americans oppose than support a U.S. airstrike in Iran, poll finds

The poll finds Americans opposing U.S. airstrikes against Iran by a 20 percentage-point margin — 45 percent to 25 percent — with a sizable 30 percent saying they are unsure.
