Iran‘s state broadcaster IRIB said eight explosions were heard in the southern port city, with air defence systems activated as a result.

The statement affirmed Omanâs solidarity with its neighbouring countries and said increasing military tensions in the region threaten Omanâs safety and security. It also said the attacks threaten global trade networks and energy supplies.
