Kristi Noem calls actions leading up to ICE shooting âan act of domestic terrorismâ
A woman was fatally shot by a federal agent in south Minneapolis Wednesday morning after authorities say she attempted to ram the vehicle of an ICE agent.
Kristi Noem, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, called the woman‘s actions leading up to the shooting „an act of domestic terrorism.“
Noem, who deployed more than 2,000 federal agents to the Twin Cities for ICE operations, says their work will continue.
ICE agents fatally shoot woman in Minneapolis, DHS says
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minneapolis fatally shot a woman in her car on Wednesday, federal officials said.
A top Department of Homeland Security official said the shooting occurred after the woman âweaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them â an act of domestic terrorism.â

âDenmark recognizes how important Greenland is to our mutual security in the Arctic region. They have moved in lockstep with the United States in Greenland for decades, accepting every request to increase our military presence on the island, and are spending 3.3% of GDP on defense to help us deter Russia and China in the region.
„If the message is that âwe need Greenland,â the truth is that we already have access to everything we could need from Greenland. If we want to deploy more forces or build additional missile defense infrastructure in Greenland, Denmark has given us a green light to do so. Our ally has always accommodated us. Threatening to annex Greenland needlessly undermines that cooperation for no gain.
„Russia, China, and other authoritarian regimes around the world are yearning for conquest. The last thing America needs is a civil war among NATO that endangers our security and our way of life.â
Gallego Introduces Amendment to Block Military Force Against Greenland
WASHINGTON â Today, Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) introduced an amendment to the Senate Defense Appropriations bill to prohibit the use of funds for military force or other hostilities against Greenland.
âFamilies are getting crushed by rising grocery and housing costs, inflation is up, and Trumpâs name is all over the Epstein files. Instead of doing anything to fix those problems, Trump is trying to distract people by threatening to start wars and invade countries â first in Venezuela, and now against our NATO ally Denmark,â said Senator Gallego. âWhatâs happening in Venezuela shows us that we canât just ignore Trumpâs reckless threats. His dangerous behavior puts American lives and our global credibility at risk. Iâm introducing this amendment to make it clear that Congress will not bankroll illegal, unnecessary military action, and to force Republicans to choose whether theyâre going to finally stand up or keep enabling Trumpâs chaos.â
