Air contains moisture. The water molecules in the air are captured by the panel when the airstream enters the device.
Solhyd technology can be applied in many locations around the globe. Only the most arid places on Earth are expected to be too dry for hydrogen panels to work efficiently.

Solhyd not only develops technology to produce hydrogen from air and sunlight. We also develop methods to produce that technology in a cost-effective and reliable manner. Efficient production, with cost reductions driven by scale benefits, will eventually lead to the lowest cost approach to make hydrogen from solar energy.
We took the first step in that process this year.

For over a decade, Professor Johan Martens and Drs. Tom Bosserez, Jan Rongé and Christos Trompoukis have been developing a ‘solar hydrogen panel’, i.e. a solar panel that can create hydrogen from the water vapour in the air. Using sunlight, moisture taken from the air – i.e. no liquid water – is split into hydrogen on the one hand, and oxygen molecules on the other.
The panel is able to directly convert no less than 15 per cent of sunlight into hydrogen gas, Which is a world record

So war das mal gedacht mit dem Biogas in den 80er-Jahren. Verwertung des auf dem Hof anfallenden Mists bzw. der Gülle in einer kleinen Biogasanlage, und dann erst den so verbesserten Dünger raus auf das Feld. Wie so oft wurde auch dieses so wunderbare Konzept ins Gegenteil verkehrt, um nicht zu sagen pervertiert.
Die Bioenergie hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren zur wichtigsten heimischen Energiequelle und zu einer tragenden Säule der Energieversorgung entwickelt. Durch die energetische Nutzung von Biomasse können kostspielige Importe von Erdgas und Erdöl aus teils politisch instabilen Staaten über weite Entfernungen verringert werden. Dies erhöht die Unabhängigkeit bei der Energieversorgung und mildert auch soziale Probleme bei der heimischen Bevölkerung, die durch steigende Öl-, Gas- und Kraftstoffpreise verursacht werden.
YaCy ist eine Suchmaschine bei dem die Nutzer selbst zum Betreiber werden. Die freie Suchmaschinensoftware YaCy läuft nicht auf einem Server im Internet, sondern auf Ihrem eigenen Rechner. So können Sie Ihr persönliches Suchportal errichten, bei dem nur Sie bestimmen was die Suchmaschine im Suchindex hat.
Die Besonderheit von YaCy ist aber, dass es sich mit den anderen Benutzern, die ebenfalls eine YaCy Suchmaschine betreiben, verbinden kann. So entsteht ein vollständig dezentrales Peer-to-Peer Suchmaschinennetz welches mit der Anzahl der Nutzer skaliert. Diese, von der Gemeinschaft der Nutzer betriebene Suchmaschine ist nicht zensierbar und speichert auch kein Nutzerverhalten an zentraler Stelle. Das Erreichen von Informationsfreiheit durch freie, dezentrale Suchsoftware ist auch ein Projektziel.

This Kurdish-regime dialogue, which was held July 26-27, offered optimism that war may not be the only option, yet there are many obstacles left to overcome. For one thing, the 50,000-strong SDF and the proposed model of democratic autonomy, with its abundant local institutions, are not easy for a centralized system like Damascus to accept.
(28.7.2018) A Syrian Kurdish group said on Saturday it had decided with the government to “chart a roadmap to a democratic and decentralized Syria”, but there was no immediate confirmation from Damascus.
Damascus must make a choice about where to advance next. The Kurds of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and their allies are backed by the Americans but appear willing to negotiate with Assad. During the past two weeks, they sent representatives to hold talks with the regime. Since the beginning of the civil war, the PYD avoided fighting the regime whenever possible and never adopted the position that Assad must be removed from power in any peace deal.
If Assad can show a little flexibility by allowing some level of decentralization for the Kurdish-led cantons, it thus seems likely that he can reassert at least nominal control of these areas.
