âItâs been the narrative of the Arab summit that there are only statements of condemnation. But I donât think thatâs the case today,â al-Mudhahka told Al Jazeera.
âI think it will be [the adoption of] certain measures that will give a very strong statement to Netanyahu.â
The Arab and Muslim world is intently awaiting the outcome of the meeting, he added, describing it as a show of solidarity by the region.

Olga Cherevko, Spokesperson in Gaza for the UN aid coordination office OCHA, warned that history will not judge the international community âbased on the speeches that we madeâ but rather on actions.
Speaking from Deir Al-Balah, she delivered a blunt message: âWhen Gaza burned, and children starved, and hospitals collapsed â did you act?â
She said this past Tuesday, Gaza City âwas handed a death sentenceâ, with hundreds of thousands of battered civilians ordered to flee to an already overcrowded area where âeven small animals have to search for spaces to squeeze between to move around.â
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said that the famine in Gaza is the direct result of deliberate restrictions on humanitarian aid, compounded by the destruction of vital infrastructure and repeated Israeli attacks on relief operations. âIn 30 years of humanitarian work, I have never encountered such blatant disregard for the protected status of humanitarian workers,â Lazzarini added.

Medical sources in Gaza announced on Saturday that the death toll from Israelâs ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip has risen to 64,803 martyrs and 164,264 injuries since October 7, 2023.
According to the same sources, 47 people were killed and 205 injured in the past 24 hours, with many victims still trapped under the rubble or lying in the streets, where rescue and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them.

On September 13, 2025, Romaniaâs air defence forces responded swiftly to an unprecedented security incident when a Russian drone intruded into Romanian airspace near the Ukrainian border. The Romanian Air Force scrambled two F-16 fighter jets to intercept the drone, which was detected approximately 20 kilometres southwest of Chilia Veche, Tulcea County.
The F-16 jets tracked the drone until it disappeared from radar, ensuring no invasion of populated areas and preventing any public safety threat.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) summoned the Russian ambassador to Bucharest on September 11 to convey its position of firm condemnation of the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones, according to a ministry‘s press release.
„The Romanian side stressed that, by its gravity, implications and scope, the incident represents an unprecedented escalation, as well as a threat to the security of the citizens of an Allied state and strategic partner of Romania,“ the MAE said.
