DNC Chairman Tom Perez calls on the Iowa Democratic Party to ‚immediately‘ begin a recanvass
Polk County Democrats Chairman Sean Bagniewski later confirmed to ABC News that the DNC had been calling precinct chairs and asking for results — meaning the national party committee is actively engaging in calling the leaders of each precinct in order to verify the results.
And one Democratic official was told that the DNC was „taking over“ the accounting. The official said that to their knowledge, this has never happened before.
Enough is enough. In light of the problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results, I am calling on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a recanvass.
Why aren‘t any of the Dem candidates speaking out about the situation in Iowa? It‘s been FOUR DAYS and they still don‘t have a final count? And they‘re stealing the election right out from under Bernie and he remains silent. What is going on in this party?
They are SO inept.

Iowa Caucus Results Riddled With Errors and Inconsistencies

Still correct that all 177 precincts in Polk were provided to the state party at 2:30 CST. Not sure why they’re not reporting all of them. We’ve received no questions or comments on anything since they left at that time. #iacaucus

With just 54 precincts left to report, we still seem to be missing 5-10 precincts from Polk County.
Just to be clear – the Polk numbers were correct, but the state party reported them incorrectly.

The Democratic Party doesn’t do accountability. They just blame everything and everyone else they can find. They still think they did nothing wrong in 2016 and were just the victims of wrongdoing by the cast of villains they decided to blame for their own failures.
