UK will release files related to Mandelson‘s appointment in more Epstein fallout

The move came after the opposition Conservative Party said it would force a vote in Parliament on Wednesday calling for the release of emails and other messages related to Mandelson’s appointment in 2024. Critics say he should never have been given the job because his relationship with Epstein – though not its extent – was known at the time.

The government has agreed to release the requested information unless it is ”prejudicial to U.K. national security or international relations.” It’s unclear how much material will be released, or when.

House Cancels Contempt Vote As Clintons Agree to Testify on Epstein

“Despite our unambiguous agreement to all of his terms last night, you added new stipulations this morning, for the first time, most notably the requirement of videotaping the interview,” the Clintons’ legal team wrote in an email to Mr. Comer on Tuesday morning, which was obtained by The New York Times.

The move appeared to be an effort to prevent House Republicans from selectively releasing unflattering exchanges from their videotaped depositions.

Mr. Comer did not acknowledge the request in his response.

Visualizing the Internet (2025)

It’s important to note that this map visualizes publicly available data, which doesn’t capture the full picture of global connectivity. The city peering information, for instance, is sourced from PeeringDB, which tracks publicly advertised connections at IXPs. A vast amount of internet traffic also flows through private peering arrangements and paid transit links that are not publicly documented and therefore do not appear here.

Similarly, the map focuses on the intercontinental backbone of submarine cables. It does not show the incredibly dense web of terrestrial fiber optic cables that run under our streets and alongside major roads. While that data would be fascinating, visualizing it would be overwhelming, and acquiring a complete dataset is nearly impossible as network providers rarely share this proprietary information.
