Four Global Sumud Flotilla activists have been imprisoned in Tunisia since March 2026 for their role in organizing flotillas to Gaza.

Humanity and solidarity are not crimes. Demand the immediate release of the detained flotilla activists.

Wael Naouar, Nabil Channoufi, Ghassan Henchiri and Ghassan Boughdiri — participants in the Global Sumud Flotilla — have been held without trial in Mornaguia Prison, Tunisia, for more than six months. All four are currently on hunger strike. Wael Naouar has been on hunger strike for 35 days and is reportedly in critical condition, facing the risk of organ failure.

It takes less than one minute to demand their release.

Global Sumud Flotilla Holds Tunisian Authorities Fully Liable for the Fate of Imprisoned Hunger Strikers as Wael Naouar Enters Semi-Comatose State

TUNIS – The Global Sumud Flotilla issues an emergency notice to the international community as actions launch worldwide today: Steering Committee member Wael Naouar is on his deathbed inside Mornaguia Prison. Following a prison visit, his family and legal team reported that Naouar has slipped into a semi-comatose state, suffering a serious physical breakdown, with unrelenting cardiac and stomach pain and a severe loss of vision and hearing. His father stated plainly: „Wael is on the brink of death.“

Naouar, who initiated his hunger strike 37 days ago, is being held alongside three fellow Flotilla organizers: Ghassan Henchiri, Ghassan Boughdiri, and Nabil Chennoufi. All four are engaged in an uncompromising, open-ended hunger strike against their prolonged pre-trial detention.

In July, a YouGov poll found that 49% of Americans believed the US government should arrest Netanyahu under the warrant, 27% said it should not, and 23% were unsure.

President Donald Trump stated earlier this summer that Netanyahu “will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form” while visiting the US. His administration’s position, as stated in a February 2025 executive order, is that Netanyahu can’t be arrested. The ICC, it says, “has no jurisdiction over the United States or Israel” because, unlike most other nations, neither is a party to the Rome Statute, which created the court.

Trump’s approval plunges into the 20s, and Republicans give up

An American Research Group poll published this week found Trump’s approval at just 29 percent — a new low for his presidency and a flashing warning sign for the congressional Republicans being dragged beneath the waves by the president’s plummeting popularity.
