US CENTCOM says aircraft struck Iranian ‘missile and drone’ storage locations
US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it has conducted strikes against Iran following Tehran’s attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
“US aircraft struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations and coastal radar sites after Iran hit M/V Ever Lovely on June 25 with a one-way attack drone,” CENTCOM said in a post on X, adding that the “unwarranted aggression against commercial shipping by Iranian forces clearly violated the ceasefire.”

Speaking at a graduation ceremony for Israeli combat officers, Netanyahu and Katz vowed not to withdraw from their “security zones” no matter what “pressures” Israel faces.
“We dominate southern Lebanon, from the summit of the Beaufort [castle], and we will remain as long as required in the security zone,” Netanyahu said. “We do not intend to withdraw from it.”
“The Israeli military will remain in the security zones in Lebanon, in Syria and in Gaza without any time limit,” Katz added.

„Today we‘ve taken the first step in what will be a difficult journey, without a doubt, but an important and an essential and a necessary one,“ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said before the agreement was inked.
The officials did not provide details of the framework deal and did not say how its terms would differ from those included in a 16 April ceasefire deal that preceded several rounds of US-brokered Israel-Lebanon talks.

Following the attack Iran‘s Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) posted on X: „Any passage through routes outside the framework designated by PGSA will not be covered by safe passage guarantees and will not be entitled to insurance coverage or related liabilities. The consequences arising from passage through unauthorised routes shall be the responsibility of the owner, operator, and vessel commander.“

The strike on the vessel, the Ever Lovely, a container ship that was passing near the Omani side of the strait, appeared to be the first known Iranian attack on a commercial vessel since the signing of a preliminary peace agreement between Tehran and Washington last week. It laid bare the challenges to restoring prewar levels of traffic through the strait, a crucial conduit for oil and gas shipping.

Under the 14-point interim agreement signed on June 18, which halted the war triggered by US-Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran agreed to make best efforts to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels for 60 days at no charge.
Article 5 of the memorandum also provides for talks between Iran and Oman to define the future administration of the strait and maritime services in line with international law and the sovereign rights of coastal states.
