In all fairness, I was a mail-in voter this year. I had completed and sent in my ballot way before I ever saw any Booker ads. Had I seen the Booker ads before, I would have voted for Booker.

I still support McGrath no matter what though.

Just FYI: There’s a 6,000 vote discrepancy between the exit polls and final results in Booker vs McGrath. This is over the 4% which the UN identifies as possible election fraud. Just something to think about.

Amy McGrath Defeats Charles Booker in Kentucky Democratic Senate Primary

(30.06.2020)

Former Marine fighter pilot Amy McGrath won a Democratic primary to become the nominee for the U.S. Senate from Kentucky, fending off a strong late challenge from a state legislator whose rise to prominence reflected the renewed energy of the progressive movement.

Ms. McGrath, who had the backing of the Democratic establishment, defeated state House lawmaker Charles Booker, according to Associated Press projections.

At this point: @Booker4KY won the Kentucky primary. The DNC is just trying to do for Amy McGrath what they did for Pete Buttigieg in Iowa.

Regardless of the official „outcome“, Booker fucking won. They‘ve spent the past 6 days just trying to fudge the numbers.

Protests Propel Charles Booker in Close Kentucky Senate Race Against Establishment-Backed Amy McGrath

“A lot of y’all have been yelling out Breonna’s name,” Booker said from the stage. “She hung out with my cousin T.J., and when he was murdered, she was there. And her death, her killing, felt like losing him all over again. And we stood up in the streets because we had no other choice.”

Kentucky voters weren’t meant to have a choice. Not long after Amy McGrath pulled off an upset victory in her House Democratic primary in May 2018, her phone rang. It was Chuck Schumer, the Senate Democratic minority leader, with more than just congratulations. No matter how the general election goes, Schumer told McGrath, we want you to be our candidate for Senate against Mitch McConnell in 2020, according to a McGrath 2018 campaign aide.

Kentucky braces for possible voting problems in Tuesday’s primary amid signs of high turnout

State officials anticipate a higher turnout than in past presidential primary years, driven in part by a late surge by upstart Senate candidate state Rep. Charles Booker, who is challenging former Marine fighter pilot Amy McGrath for the Democratic nomination to take on GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in the fall.

“It’s Just a Raw Power Struggle”: Progressives and Moderates Square Off in War Over Primarying Incumbents

(10.06.2020)

Progressives see hypocrisy rooted—not in principle or policy—but in maintaining power. “It’s almost like all the rules are thrown out the window if you’re not coming from the left,” progressive strategist Rebecca Katz told me.
