Ukraine war: Russia‘s Wagner boss suggests ‚betrayal‘ in Bakhmut battle

The head of Russia‘s Wagner private army says it is not getting the ammunition it needs from Moscow, as it seeks to gain control of Bakhmut.

The eastern city has seen months of intense fighting, as Wagner and regular Russian troops try to seize it.

But Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin says his army‘s lack of ammunition could be „ordinary bureaucracy or a betrayal“.

Erläuterung: Der Begriff „Staat“

a) wird in dieser Definition unabhängig von der Frage der Anerkennung und unabhängig davon verwendet, ob ein Staat Mitglied der Vereinten Nationen ist;
b) schließt in dieser Definition gegebenenfalls auch den Begriff „Gruppe von Staaten“ ein.

(14 December 1974)

Article 1

Aggression is the use of armed force by a State against the sovereignty, territorial integrity or political independence of another State, or in any other manner inconsistent with the Charter of the United Nations, as set out in this Definition.

Explanatory note: In this Definition the term „State“:

(a) Is used without prejudice to questions of recognition or to whether a State is a member of the United Nations;

(b) Includes the concept of a „group of States“ where appropriate.

Kiew: Armee hält russischen Truppen in Bachmut stand

In dem seit Monaten andauernden Kampf um die Stadt Bachmut hält die ukrainische Armee nach eigenen Angaben weiterhin den Angriffen der russischen Invasoren stand. Der ukrainische Generalstab erklärte gestern, am Vortag seien „mehr als 130 feindliche Angriffe“ abgewehrt worden, insbesondere in Bachmut, Kupjansk, Lyman und Awdijiwka.
