Die nordkoreanische Nachrichtenagentur KCNA berichtete am Donnerstag, dass die sechste Sitzung der 13. Legislaturperiode am Mittwoch stattgefunden habe. Anwesend seien führende Personen wie Kim Yong-nam, Vorsitzender des Präsidiums der Obersten Volksversammlung, und Choe Ryong-hae, Vizevorsitzender der Arbeiterpartei.
Machthaber Kim Jong-un wurde nicht genannt, daher wird vermutet, dass er der diesmaligen Sitzung fernblieb. Kim hatte bis letztes Jahr an sechs von insgesamt acht Tagungen der Obersten Volksversammlung teilgenommen, nachdem er im April 2012 die Macht übernommen hatten.
