Reaktion auf US-Wahl: Deutsche Medien fordern Aufrüstung

Unterstützt wird dieser Kurs nicht nur von den Regierungsparteien, sondern auch von der grünen und „linken“ Opposition. So zeigte sich der Linken-Politiker Stefan Liebich schon am Wahlabend geradezu begeistert über die Aussicht auf eine aggressivere deutsche Außenpolitik. Liebich forderte, Deutschland und Europa müssten „künftig außenpolitisch stärker, eigenständiger, selbstbewusster auftreten“. Die Zeiten, in denen man sich an den USA orientiere, seien nun vorbei. „Jetzt geht es darum, die europäische Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik zu stärken. … Wir werden künftig lauter und deutlicher Nein sagen zu dem, was Washington will. Es ist jetzt Schluss mit der Leisetreterei.“

– Einführung von Bodycams bei Bundespolizisten,
– Verschärfung der Strafbarkeit von tätlichen Angriffen auf Polizeibeamte.

Offener Brief eines Mitglieds an SPD-Parteivorstand: „Kann diese Politik nicht mehr unterstützen“

(6.1.2016) während der vergangenen 46 Jahre gab es (leider) immer wieder Situationen, bei denen ich mich fragen musste, ob die Politik der SPD wirklich noch den Zielen der Sozialdemokratie verpflichtet ist. Immer wieder habe ich einzelne (?), schwer erträgliche (oder kaum zu begründende) Entscheidungen der Partei- oder Fraktionsführung als letztlich notwendige Kompromisse im politischen Tagesgeschäft hingenommen (und die Faust in der Tasche geballt).

In den letzten Wochen und Monaten wurde der Bogen jedoch deutlich überspannt. Die aktuelle Politik der SPD im Parteivorstand, der Fraktion und der Bundesregierung hat nichts (wirklich nichts!) mehr mit dem zu tun, wofür die Sozialdemokratie angetreten ist und wofür sich Millionen von Sozialdemokraten eingesetzt haben – und leider auch tausende ihr Leben hingegeben haben.
