(8.3.2016) Kämpfer des „Islamischen Staats“ (IS) haben demnach im Nordirak Gewehre aus den deutschen Waffenlieferungen für die kurdischen Peschmerga erbeutet. Zudem wurden weitere Waffen aus den Lieferungen der Bundeswehr von Kurden auf dem Schwarzmarkt verkauft – teilweise um damit die Flucht nach Europa zu finanzieren.

Medien: PKK-Kämpfer töten 13 Soldaten und Dorfwache in der Türkei

Kurdische Rebellen haben nach Medienangaben 13 Soldaten sowie eine Dorfwache getötet. Wie die Nachrichtenagentur Anadolu berichtete, wurden drei Soldaten am Samstag in der Früh in der südöstlichen Provinz Hakkari getötet. 20 weitere Soldaten seien bei dem Einsatz gegen Kämpfer der verbotenen Arbeiterpartei Kurdistans (PKK) an der Grenze zum Nordirak verletzt worden, drei von ihnen schwer.

Officials in Najaf said, “Dozens of employees went on a strike today in response to the call made by Muqtada al-Sadr to push the government to carry out reforms and fight corruption.”
“Dozens of Sadrist movement’s followers in Babel went on a strike for two days in a number of directorates such as agriculture, water resources, roads and bridges and housing,” the officials added.
