Why Sitting Bull was right about Washington’s lack of integrity

In this regard, the words of none other than Sitting Bull have proved eerily prescient over the generations since the great Indian warrior-chief uttered them. „There are things they tell us that sound good to hear, but when they have accomplished their purpose they will go home and will not try to fulfill our agreements with them.“

Sitting Bull’s analysis of Washington and its integrity has stood the test of time.

Obama is going to Saudi Arabia next week for a GCC summit

My friend Gareth Porter tweeted about Richard Clarke – a notorious limited hangout practitioner – stating that the CIA concealed knowledge of al-Qaeda jihadis in US territory from the FBI because they wanted to recruit them through Saudi intel. For what? And to do what? The CIA operation to train Syrian „rebels“ is code-named Timber Sycamore. So training „moderate“ al-Qaeda would have been what – Sandalwood?

Record Store Day drives worldwide vinyl revival

The annual Record Store Day (RSD), which is celebrated from San Francisco to Paris, has gone a long way toward re-establishing vinyl as the go-to medium for music after a lull during the ’80s and ’90s — and Seattle is one of its hotbeds, with about 25 stores participating this year. (San Francisco, by comparison, has only 12.)
RSD, taking place Saturday, April 16, began in 2008 as a way to drum up business for independent record merchants and pay homage to vinyl-collecting culture.

Dozens queued to vote at one polling station where a portrait of Assad hung on the wall. Outside, some danced.
