Saudi FM says Assad will ultimately be ousted
Speaking at a security conference in Munich, Al-Jubeir called Assad the âsingle most effective magnet for extremists and terrorists in the regionâ and said his removal was crucial for restoring stability.

Assad says he sees risk of Saudi, Turkish intervention in Syria
Assad told during the interview that his regime‘s eventual goal was to retake all of Syria, large swathes of which are under the control of rebel forces or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group.
„Regardless of whether we can do that or not, this is a goal we are seeking to achieve without any hesitation,“ he was quoted as saying.
„It makes no sense for us to say that we will give up any part,“ he added.
Assad said it would be possible to „put an end to this problem in less than a year“ if opposition supply routes from Turkey, Jordan and Iraq were cut.

Egypt doctors protest police mistreatment in Cairo
The demonstrators were specifically calling for the police officers who reportedly assaulted two doctors in Cairo‘s Matariya Hospital last month to face justice. Reports said two policemen violently forced the doctors into a vehicle after another one pulled out his gun and threatened the health staff in Matariya, including the nurses. The hospital said eight nurses and a security guard were also attacked in the incident.

Auf der gröĂten Bio-Lebensmittelmesse der Welt, der Biofach in NĂŒrnberg, wurde heute auch ĂŒber Gentechnik und TTIP diskutiert. Einig waren sich Branchenvertreter und Experten der bayerischen sowie baden-wĂŒrttembergischen Regierung, dass es in Deutschland weiterhin keinen Anbau von gentechnisch verĂ€nderten Pflanzen geben soll. DafĂŒr mĂŒsse die Bundesregierung sorgen, appellierten sie an Landwirtschaftsminister Christian Schmidt (CSU). Bei der Beurteilung neuer Gentechnikverfahren zeigten sich die Politikvertreter allerdings wesentlich offener als die Ăko-Produzenten.

US-Kongress verbietet Steuer auf Internetzugang
Versuche, in Europa eine Internetsteuer einzufĂŒhren, sind bislang gescheitert. So plante der damalige französische PrĂ€sident Nicolas Sarkozy im Jahr 2008 eine neue Steuer fĂŒr Internetprovider, um damit ein werbefreies Fernsehprogramm finanzieren zu können. Der ungarische MinisterprĂ€sident Viktor OrbĂĄn scheiterte im Herbst 2014 mit dem Versuch, eine Steuer auf den Datentraffic einzufĂŒhren. Nach erheblichen Protesten verzichtete er schlieĂlich auf die Telekomsteuer.

(12.2.2016) Army units, in cooperation with the supporting forces, restored stability and security to the hills of Dahret al-Qaraa and Dahret al-Qandileh and all the heights of al-Tamoura to the southwest of al-Zahraa town in the northern countryside of Aleppo province, sources on the ground told SANA reporter on Friday.
The remaining positions and fortifications of the terrorist organizations in those hills were eliminated, the sources said.

Was aber macht die Olmert-Regierung und ihr Generalstab? Sie intensiviert noch einmal das Bombardement auf hilflose Zivilisten und schickt ihre zermĂŒrbten Truppen noch einmal in ein blutiges, sinnloses Offensiv-Debakel.
