Syriza: Plunder, Pillage and Prostration. (How the ‘Hard Left’ embraces the policies of the Hard Right)
The North American and European Left celebrated Syriza’s election victory as a break with neo-liberal austerity programs and the launch of a radical alternative, which would implement popular initiatives for basic social changes, including measures generating employment, restoring pensions, reversing privatizations, reordering government priorities and favoring payments to employees over foreign banks. The “evidence” for the radical reform agenda was contained in the ‘Thessaloniki Manifesto’ which Syriza promised to be the program guiding their newly elected officials.

Unfortunately, this is the norm in Washington nowadays. The bills are thousands of pages long, and they‘re often plopped on our desks a few hours before the vote takes place.
I believe the American people deserve better.
That‘s why I‘ve introduced the „Read the Bills Act“ in the U.S. Senate to stop the backroom deals where thousand page bills are rammed into law before anyone knows what‘s in them.
If passed, this legislation would mandate members of Congress to actually read the bills they vote on by requiring them to wait one day before a vote is held for every 20 pages of legislation.

We‘ve spent plenty of time discussing why this is such a bad ruling, so we won‘t necessarily repeat them now. With no other recourse, Google began implementing it, but for Europe only. Since then, there‘s been an ongoing push by some to say Google needs to enforce it globally, even in the US where such an interpretation of the law is clearly unconstitutional.

Sie haben ein Gesetz zur Abwehr von Gefahren des internationalen Terrorismus durch das Bundeskriminalamt vorbereitet. Neben Online-Durchsuchungen, über die ja seit längerem diskutiert wird, sind weitere äußerst bedenkliche Maßnahmen vorgesehen. Zum Beispiel könnte das Bundeskriminalamt demnächst Telefone anzapfen, Daten speichern sowie Wohnungen „verwanzen“, mit Kameras ausspähen und zu diesem Zweck auch Wohnungen heimlich betreten und durchsuchen.
Warum die Verfassungsbeschwerde gegen das BKA-Gesetz nicht zur Entscheidung ausgewählt wurde

Die U.S.A. verhandelt derzeit mit Estland, Lettland, Litauen, Bulgarien, Polen, Rumänien und Ungarn, über eine permanente Stationierung von US-Waffensystemen. Als sich die NATO im Jahr 2004 Richtung Baltikum erweiterte hat man aus Respekt vor Russland noch darauf verzichtet, militärische Kampfausrüstungen, Kampfpanzer oder/und Infanteriefahrzeuge zu stationieren. Die Zeiten haben sich geändert und es sollen Waffen für etwa 5.000 Soldaten gelagert werden…
Der Apparat fliegt auf
Die seit Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts und Beginn des weltweiten, nunmehr bald vierzehnjährigen Terrorkrieges führende Partei des geheimdienstlichen Komplexes in der Republik, die „Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands“, kündigt über das Apparat-Organ „Spiegel“ Kontrollmaßnahmen gegen diesen an. Konkret geht es um die heutige Machtfülle des Bundesnachrichtendienstes. Auf diese Weise wird der berühmten „breiten Mehrheit“ diese Machtfülle taktisch deutlich gemacht und der Bevölkerung damit quasi der Segen der Obrigkeit gegeben, sich ein wenig über diese aufzuregen. Denn ihr hat ja nun eine Autorität – eine Regierungspartei – etwas vorgesagt, was nun kopiert werden darf.
Der übliche Plan der Nomenklatura dürfte sein, bereits seit Langem ausgeübte verfassungswidrige Praktiken zu legalisieren, dem geheimdienstlichen Komplex, dem Apparat strukturelle und historische Kontinuität zu sichern und die in diesem Zusammenhang für die Bevölkerung einzig relevanten Maßnahmen – Verfassungsklagen – weiter zu verhindern.
Reformvorschlag: SPD will BND an die kurze Leine nehmen

Palau Burns fishing boats to deter illegal fishing
The ships´ captains were detained and brought to police custody in Palau. All the rest 77 crew members are being sent back home on two remaining fishing boats with enough provisions and fuel to make the trip back to Vietnam.

20.6.: Tagung `Atommüll ohne Ende, Teil 2´
Am 20. Juni, ein halbes Jahr vor ihrem geplanten Ende, will die Kommission `Lagerung hochradioaktiver Abfallstoffe´ in Berlin noch schnell ihre `Auftaktveranstaltung´ zur Öffentlichkeitsbeteiligung abarbeiten.
An dieser Simulation können wir Wendländer uns nicht beteiligen, ohne zum Alibi zu verkommen. Mit echter Mitbestimmung hat das nichts zu tun. Der Atommüll brennt uns aber seit Jahrzehnten unter den Nägeln und wir haben ganz unabhängig von der Kommission viel zu den Brennpunkten überall im Land zu sagen.

Mariupol military parade featured banned weapons – OSCE monitors
KYIV. June 15 (Interfax) – The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe‘s special monitoring mission said heavy weapons that must be moved away from the contact line in Donbas in accordance with the Minsk agreements, were demonstrated during a military parade in Mariupol. The mission‘s report as of the evening of June 14, released on Monday, says that the mission observed a military parade in Mariupol on June 13. The parade was organized by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry‘s Azov volunteer battalion to mark the anniversary of the city‘s transfer under Kyiv‘s control. The parade was watched by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, and other high-ranking Ukrainian officials.
The parade featured up to 100 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Azov volunteer battalion, three tow-trucks with artillery systems (one 100-mm 2A29 Rapira anti-tank gun and two 122-mm D-30 howitzers) in violation of the Minsk agreements to remove heavy weapons. There was also an armored personnel carrier, one Spartan armored vehicle and 12 trucks with the Azov emblem. Four of them were pulling 122-mm 2B11 Sani mortars, the report says.

Neue Recherchen zu den Mordanschlägen des NSU belasten einen Mitarbeiter und einen V-Mann zweier deutscher Geheimdienstbehörden schwer. Wie aktuelle Berichte bestätigen, steht ein langjähriger führender Aktivist der Kölner Neonaziszene im dringenden Verdacht, im Dezember 2000 einen Sprengsatz in einem Kölner Lebensmittelgeschäft platziert zu haben. Der Anschlag zählt zur Verbrechensserie des NSU. Der Neonazi-Aktivist ist vom Verfassungsschutz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen als „geheimer Mitarbeiter“ geführt worden und hatte womöglich noch im Jahr 2009 zum NSU-Führungstrio Kontakt. Neue Verdachtsmomente werden auch gegen den hessischen Verfassungsschutzbeamten Andreas Temme bekannt. Demnach sind Schmauchspuren, die auf seinen Handschuhen gefunden wurden, einer Munitionsart zuzuordnen, die selten genutzt wird, aber bei den NSU-Morden verwendet wurde.
