Inconvenient Truths: Mainstream media‘s mistakes on Ukraine

At an EU summit in Brussels, Ukraine‘s interim Prime Minister has claimed that there are Russian tanks on the ground in the country. That‘s despite Ukraine‘s own border patrol maintaining that no forces had crossed the frontier. Well in her regular report – Gayane Chichakyan has put together the many other claims around events in Ukraine that simply don‘t add up.

Muslim Brotherhood: Rabaa Coup False Report Will Never Cover Up the Truth

A new crime is added to the reprehensible track record of the military coup against Egypt and its people. Evidently, there are two issues that haunt mass murderer Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, and which he would like to get rid of in any way. The first is lack of legitimacy. He only seized power through deceit, betrayal and brute force. The second is the blood he spilled in the brutal massacres he masterminded, which heavily stains his hands, and will remain a curse on him until Judgment Day. Therefore, he resorts to all subjugated institutions to exonerate himself, including the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) that issued a most ridiculous report Thursday on the Rabaa sit-in massacre in a blatant attempt to dilute the ugliness of the crime, blaming it on the police rather than the army, and thus exonerating the traitorous assassin Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi.

CIA: We Only Spied On Senate Intelligence Committee Because They Took Classified Documents That Prove We‘re Liars

Earlier this week, we wrote about the accusations that the CIA was spying on Senate staffers on the Senate Intelligence Committee as they were working on a massive $40 million 6,300 pages report condemning the CIA‘s torture program. The DOJ is apparently already investigating if the CIA violated computer hacking laws in spying on the Senate Intelligence Committee computers. The issue revolved around a draft of an internal review by the CIA, which apparently corroborates many of the Senate report‘s findings — but which the CIA did not hand over to the Senate. This internal report not only support‘s the Senate report‘s findings, but also shows that the CIA has been lying in response to questions about the terror program.

Rights activists oppose suggestion to ban central Moscow rallies

Russia’s veteran rights campaigner, the head of the Moscow Helsinki Group Lyudmila Alekseyeva attacked the idea in comments to the Interfax news agency. “If such initiatives are passed as acts this would confirm that we are in a police state. Such suggestions are unconstitutional,” Alekseyeva said.

The head of the unregistered political group The Other Russia, writer Eduard Limonov, also called the suggestion unconstitutional.

Computer Searches at Center of Dispute on C.I.A. Detentions

Senior lawmakers contend that C.I.A. officers conducted unauthorized searches of the computers used by committee staff members in an effort to learn how the committee gained access to the agency’s own 2009 internal review of the interrogation program. A chorus of Democratic senators on Wednesday said the C.I.A. had thwarted Congress’ constitutional role as overseer, suggested that federal laws may have been broken, and demanded answers from the Obama administration.
