An Obama wird man dereinst als an den denken, der die Welt noch mehr gegen die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika aufgebracht hat als sein Vorgänger George W. Bush – gewiss eine Leistung.

Last February, a sharply divided Supreme Court threw out an attempt by U.S. citizens to challenge the expansion of the surveillance law used to monitor conversations of foreign spies and terrorist suspects.

In a 5-4 vote, the court ruled that a group of American lawyers, journalists and organizations could not sue to challenge the 2008 expansion of the law because they could not prove that the government would monitor their conversations along with those of potential foreign terrorist and intelligence targets.

The Justice Department for the first time has notified a criminal defendant that evidence being used against him came from a warrantless wiretap, a move that is expected to set up a Supreme Court test of whether such eavesdropping is constitutional.

Der Special Collection Service unterhält in der Berliner Botschaft der USA am Pariser Platz eine nicht legal angemeldete Spionagedependance. Dort überwachen Mitarbeiter der NSA und der CIA mit modernen Hochleistungsantennen Kommunikation im Regierungsviertel.

Der Spiegel hat neue Snowden-Dokumente bekommen und meldet, dass die Special Collection Services (SCS) – Einheit der NSA an 80 Standorten weltweit geheime Überwachungsstützpunkte errichtet hat. In Deutschland sind Berlin und Frankfirt explizit auf der Liste. In Berlin soll die Einheit heimlich aus der US-Botschaft das Regierungsviertel abhören.

Stop Watching US rally kicked off in US capital. People from all walks of life descended on Washington, DC to call for an end to mass NSA surveillance. The event, which is being billed as the largest privacy rally in United States history, was organized by a diverse coalition of groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union and FreedomWorks (PHOTOS).

And now Washington itself is about to feel the fire, as domestic fury over “ubiquitous, suspicionless spying” by the National Security Agency comes en masse to the capital, steeled by the anger of global allies.

„Right now the NSA is spying on everyone‘s personal communications, and it’s operating without any meaningful oversight,“ states a memo on the „Stop Watching Us“ site.

The event was organized by a diverse coalition of groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, FreedomWorks and Mozilla.

“First, we are asking for a congressional investigation so we can shed light on exactly what the National Security Agency is doing. Secondly, we ask for reform of federal surveillance law, specifically Section 215 of the Patriot Act, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and the state secrets privilege,” Rainey Reitman, EFF activism director and lead organizer for Saturday‘s rally told tech news outlet CNET on Friday.

So why aren’t nuclear weapons banned by a Nuclear Weapons Convention (NWC)?

Der Hosenanzug hat sich vehement gegen jede Aufklärung der Ausspähung durch den US-Geheimdienst NSA seit Beginn widersetzt und der für die Geheimdienste zuständige Kanzleramtsminister Ronald Pofalla erklärte selbstherrlich die NSA-Affäre im Sommer für beendet. Ich schrieb darauf hin den Artikel am 13. August „Hör zu Pofalla, nichts ist beendet“ und das hat sich nun bewahrheitet. Jetzt wo bekannt ist, das Handy von Merkel wurde von der NSA abgehört, ist Madam plötzlich ganz aus dem Häuschen und hat Obama gleich angerufen und sich bei ihm beschwert.
