280-mile walk planned to protest drones
The walk, which is being organized by Maine Veterans for Peace and the Maine Campaign to Bring Our War $$ Home, will average about 13 miles per day (some driving will be necessary in certain regions) between October 10 and 19; participants will be fed and housed by local hosts in the evenings. Organizers hope to bring public attention to the weaponized drones being used in places like Afghanistan, Libya, and Pakistan, as well as about how domestic use of drones is expanding.

Als das unterblieb, führte die Regionalkonferenz am 9. März selber eine Katastrophensimulation durch, an der sich mehr als 20.000 Menschen beteiligten.

Was bei der HuffPo in den offiziellen Lobgesängen so gemütlich herüberkommt mit Bürgerjournalismus und „Jeder kann mitmachen“, bekommt im Kleingedruckten geradezu shakespearianische Züge, hier sind Autoren plötzlich mittelalterlichen Begriffen wie „Garantien“ und „Schuld“ ausgesetzt. Eigentlich fehlt nur noch, dass, wer diesen Ansprüchen trotzen sollte, jederzeit in den Schuldturm der Feste München verbracht oder gleich ins Stammland bzw. nach Guantanamo ausgeflogen werden kann.
