The Alliance delegation reaffirmed that:

– We reject US statements made recently by Secretary Kerry in support of the military coup in clear violation of constitutional legitimacy acknowledged by democratic states.

This conforms to President Morsi’s initiative as announced before the military coup that crushed democracy by suspending the Constitution and abducted the President.

– We condemn the situation witnessed by Egyptians, which is a flagrant violation of human rights, during the past few weeks, and which revealed the bloody face of the military coup.

– Alliance-led protest activities of the Egyptian people are entirely peaceful, and are based on the natural right to hold demonstrations and sit-ins, and freedom of assembly and association.

We condemn any calls to or acts of violence, including all criminal attacks in the Sinai.
