In comparison, the “dial-a-yield” of the B-61 bombs at Incirlik can be adjusted from 0.3 kilotons to as many as a hundred and seventy kilotons.

Laut der Nachrichtenagentur DHA wurde auch ein Berater von Staatspräsident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Oberst Ali Yazici, festgenommen. Auch der Kommandeur der auch von der Bundeswehr genutzten türkischen Luftwaffenbasis Incirlik, General Bekir Ercan Van, soll nach Angaben aus Regierungskreisen festgenommen sein.

Turkey criticizes Egypt for blocking UN statement on coup attempt
Turkey has strongly criticized Egypt for blocking an initiative at the U.N. Security Council to condemn the coup attempt and express solidarity with the democratically-elected Turkish government.
“It’s only natural for those who came to power through a coup to hesitate to take a position towards the coup attempt staged against our president and our government,” Tanju Bilgiç, spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, said in a statement upon a question July 18.
Turkish parliament briefly evacuated after attack warning proves false
“We were notified of an attack… The Meclis [parliament] is being evacuated,” Ziya Pir of the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party wrote on Twitter.
However, it emerged that warnings of an imminent attack were, in fact, false. Police are currently investigating the incident, the state Anadolu Agency reports.

Turkish Rebel Pilots Had Erdogan’s Plane in Their Sights in Vain
Aside from trying to intercept Erdogan’s plane, F-16s controlled by the plotters also flew low over both Istanbul and Ankara, the capital, and dropped at least one bomb on Parliament. According to some reports, they also bombed Erdogan’s vacation home shortly after he left it. They were apparently assisted by two KC-135 midair refuelers, which were spotted on radar hovering over central Turkey on Friday night.
