Dass der Verursacher erst durch Nachforschungen des österreichischen Bundesheeres ermittelt werden musste, der ohne vorherige Informationen den Einsatz von Störsendern anordnete, während Tausende von Flugzeugen über Europa flogen, entbehrt jeglicher Normalität.
In Deutschland wurde darüber kaum berichtet, wohl aber in Österreich. Die Vorfälle ereigneten sich demnach am 5. und am 10. Juni. Über mehrere Stunden kam es dabei zu Störungen der sogenannten “Sekundärradarerfassung”. Gemeint sind die Signale, die von Transpondern der Flugzeuge ausgehen und die am Boden aufgefangen werden. Sie verraten nicht nur Daten über das Flugzeug, sondern auch die Route oder die Flughöhe. Am Boden werden die Informationen benötigt, um den Luftverkehr zu ordnen und möglichst viele Flugzeuge gleichzeitig in einem Sektor fliegen zu lassen.

In an interview with al-Binaa Newspaper on Wednesday, al-Jaafari said that some countries are trying to use the terms “foreign fighters”, “insurgents”, “rebels” or “jihadists” to avoid admitting the true nature of those terrorists, adding that Syria’s geopolitical location has always set it in the face of grave challenges, and that what Syria is facing now has a very minor internal aspect compared to its regional and international dimensions.
Bashar al-Assad was sworn in for a new term as Syria‘s president on Wednesday, after an election which his opponents dismiss as a sham but which he said proved he had achieved victory after a „dirty war“ to unseat him.
