In the days that followed, Abkhazia’s parliament held a non-confidence vote. And after three years as president, Ankvab was forced to resign. His prime minister followed suit the day after.
People on the outside were left wondering what was going on… The protests were led by a group of opposition parties known as the Coordinating Council, united by one thing – dissatisfaction with Ankvab.

Heute bin ich darauf hingewiesen worden, dass die Anordnungen der Gefahrengebiete teilweise die Kennzeichnung als “NfD”, also “Nur für den Dienstgebrauch”, enthalten. Da ich solche Dokumente nach der Geheimschutzordnung des Landtags 30 Jahre lang nicht veröffentlichen darf, habe ich sie wieder aus der veröffentlichten pdf-Datei gelöscht. (…)

Schließlich können sie jederzeit ohne Verdacht angehalten und ihr Pkw eingesehen werden. Auch der Hamburgische Datenschutzbeauftragte Dr. Caspar hält eine Veröffentlichung von Gefahrengebieten für verfassungsrechtlich zwingend geboten.

Nach diesem Gesetz dürfen Polizei und Verfassungsschutz nicht nur von Telekommunikationsanbietern wie der Telekom, sondern auch von “Telemedien-Diensteanbietern” wie Facebook, Google oder Twitter Daten über die Nutzer und ihr Kommunikations- und Surfverhalten einschließlich ihrer Passwörter abgreifen. Der 29-seitigen Beschwerdeschrift zufolge verletze dies das Grundrecht auf informationelle Selbstbestimmung sowie das Telekommunikationsgeheimnis.

Die Überführung des “Doppelspions” durch eine extra auf ihn angesetzte F.B.I.-Agentin, die ihn mit russisch angelerntem Flair in die Falle lockte (ausgerechnet bei einem Aufenthalt in den U.S.A.), mutet sehr exotisch an. Einen Hinweis auf Halls Aktivitäten hätte es von einem C.I.A.-Agenten in der DDR-Regierung gegeben.
