A Malaysian fund manager who milked nearly A$1.5mil (RM4.5mil) from an Australian bank through insider trading has been sentenced to 18 months‘ jail.
Oswyn de Silva, 37, who previously worked for Macquarie Bank, had earlier pleaded guilty to insider trading relating to 12 transactions known as âfront runningâ between December 2006 and April 2007, the Australian Associated Press reported.
