New Bills Show What Israel‘s Post-coup Election Day Would Be Like

Revivo tabled another proposal, which was first proposed by Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, stating that when a Knesset election leads to an impasse, with no unity or narrow government formed, a direct election for a prime minister would be held. Subsequently, the elected coalition would get an extra 12 lawmakers, divided proportionately between the factions, so that the Knesset would grow to 132 members.
