Die Authorization for Use of Military Force vom 14.

Intel‘s Management Engine is a security hazard, and users need a way to disable it

(8.5.2017) Since 2008, most of Intel’s chipsets have contained a tiny homunculus computer called the “Management Engine” (ME). The ME is a largely undocumented master controller for your CPU: it works with system firmware during boot and has direct access to system memory, the screen, keyboard, and network. All of the code inside the ME is secret, signed, and tightly controlled by Intel.

Japanese don‘t need digital currency as they love cash, BOJ says

That love of cash is clear from the amount of notes and coins sloshing around in Japan – more than any other major economy. The value of physical currency in circulation was equivalent to 20 per cent of Japan’s economy in 2016, the highest among major nations, according to a report by the Bank for International Settlements last year. Sweden had the lowest ratio at 1.4 per cent – its central bank is considering issuing a digital currency.

Missile Dialogue Between Iran and the West

Given the realities surrounding the Iranian missile program, Europe and the United States must first address Iran’s reasonable concerns before insisting on missile negotiations. If Europe does not want to be led to war by the Tel Aviv-Riyadh-White House axis, as French President Emmanuel Macron has warned, it must put realistic diplomatic options on the table that incorporate legitimate Iranian security concerns.
