Hier sitzen die hohen Militärs zu Tisch und feiern Feste – und lassen sich von den Ordonnanzen bekochen und bedienen. Auch Unteroffiziere können halbtags als Ordonnanz tätig werden – sie fungieren dann zum Beispiel als Geschäftsführer in den Heimen.
Der Einsatz als Ordonnanz geschieht zwar freiwillig und wird offiziell als soldatische Nebenfunktion deklariert. Dieser Service wird jedoch während der regulären Arbeitszeit geleistet, nachdem die Soldaten zuvor ihre militärische Fachausbildung abgeschlossen haben.
Um Geld zu sparen, lagerte die Bundeswehr 2002 ihren vornehmlich zivilen Fuhrpark aus und gründete die BwFuhrparkService GmbH.
