‘Israel has the opportunity to win the hearts of all Syrians’
Israel, the commander said, should impose a no-fly area over the buffer zone and allow the moderate opposition fighters to continue eastward, toward Damascus.
“Israel could down any plane above that area and no one would blame it,” he continued. “Refraining from doing this means collaborating with the Assad gang in our murder.

‘Our oppression is linked; so too is our struggle‘: Statement of solidarity between University of Toledo’s Student African American Brotherhood and Students for Justice in Palestine
On August 9, 2014, a Ferguson police officer gunned down 18-year-old Michael Brown, shooting him at least six times. In the wake of his murder the city of Ferguson, Missouri erupted into a mass uprising against police violence sustained for over two weeks, the likes of which the United States has not seen in decades. One month before, on July 8, Israel began its vicious assault on the people trapped in Palestine’s Gaza Strip, slaughtering over 2000 people, around 500 of them children. This wave of terror lasted until August 26, the same day Michael Brown’s body was buried.
Israeli Supreme Court upholds law allowing housing discrimination against Palestinians
Yesterday, Israel’s Supreme Court dismissed a petition by Adalah: The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel effectually facilitating the Judaization of more Palestinian owned land inside Israel. According to Adalah, the court’s decision holding up Israel’s Admissions Committees Law, “entrenches racial segregation; 434 small communities in Israel, or 43% of all residential areas, will be allowed to close their doors to Palestinian Arab citizens of the state.”

‘This is our land!‘: West Bank village Wadi Fukin fights largest Israeli land grab in decades
Leaders in the village of approximately 1,250 have galvanized locals into organizing Friday demonstrations against Israeli occupation for the first time in years, after 4,000 dunams (nearly 1,000 acres) in the southern West Bank was declared “state land,” by Israel. Over a quarter of the confiscated land belongs to Wadi Fukin, which already lost most of its property to the still expanding Israeli settlements of Beitar Illit and Hadar Beitar in the north and Tsur Hadassah in the west after 1967.

Iran will garantieren, nie Atomwaffen zu bauen

I raised our serious concern over repeated incidents along the border. We agreed that peace and tranquility in the border region constitutes an essential foundation for mutual trust and confidence and for realizing the full potential of our relationship. This is an important understanding, which should be strictly observed. While our border related agreements and confidence building measures have worked well, I also suggested that clarification of Line of Actual Control would greatly contribute to our efforts to maintain peace and tranquility and requested President Xi to resume the stalled process of clarifying the LAC. We should also seek an early settlement of the boundary question.
Similarly, we discussed India‘s concerns relating to China‘s visa policy and Trans Border Rivers. I am confident that their early resolution would take mutual trust to a new level.
We had a productive discussion on regional and international developments and agreed to strengthen our strategic dialogue on these issues. We both understand that India and China have a shared interest in a peaceful and stable region, including peace, stability and prosperity

Israelis Angry At Court Ruling On Africans
On September 16, 2013, Israel‘s Supreme Court overruled an amendment that the Knesset tacked on to the country‘s Anti-Infiltration Law in January 2012. The amendment authorized the automatic incarceration without trial of all Africans who enter the country asking for asylum. Since the amendment came into effect, about 2,000 Africans have been jailed by Israel. The court now ruled that they must be released. The next day, on September 17, 2013, residents of South Tel Aviv, where about 30,000 African asylum-seekers already live, protested the court‘s decision.

Jews Demand Community Leaders Show Moral Leadership on Gaza
(21. August) Jewish Voice for Peace Executive Director Rebecca Vilkomerson said: “Jewish communal leaders have lost touch with many American Jews, especially the younger generation. We are increasingly opposed to Israel’s occupation and the massive bombing of civilians trapped in Gaza, while they remain either silent or cheerlead illegal and immoral Israeli policies. That’s why we are going to Jewish leaders in every city to demand they show true ethical leadership and call for an end to the Israeli occupation.”

Israel recognizes Aramean minority in Israel as separate nationality
Sa‘ar based his decision on three professional opinions, which concluded that the nationality met the conditions required for official recognition, including a historical heritage, religion, culture, origin and common language.

Poll: Many Israelis see Jewish identity as being self-defined
A survey conducted for Bina, a pluralist organization that promotes Jewish culture and identity, particularly among the secular population, showed that while more than half the Jewish population still feels that being born to a Jewish mother defines one’s Jewish identity, more than a quarter feel that being Jewish is defined by one’s own personal perception.
Israel’s N.S.A. Scandal
Among his most shocking discoveries, he told me, was the fact that the N.S.A. was routinely passing along the private communications of Americans to a large and very secretive Israeli military organization known as Unit 8200. This transfer of intercepts, he said, included the contents of the communications as well as metadata such as who was calling whom.
