The President added that Syria is keenly interested in continuing coordination and consultations with Russia in the interest of the world and the region’s nations.
Mikdad: Aggression against Syria could be classified as foreign aggression
Mikdad criticized the vocabularies and terms used by the west to describe what is going on in Syria, like the crisis, the dilemma, the civil war or lots of other vocabularies, asserting that these terms don’t reflect the reality of what is going on in Syria.
He reiterated that what Syria is being exposed to could be classified as a foreign aggression, particularly that the Syrian people have become aware of these wrong concepts when they flocked into the streets to participate in the presidential elections inside and outside Syria to show support to their leadership and army .

Harper’s silence is cowardly, says ex Al-Jazeera head Burman
When I was managing director of Al-Jazeera’s English network in Qatar from 2008-10, the question I was asked most related to the Canadian government led by Stephen Harper. “Please help us understand,” the question went, “how Canada can so suddenly change from being a respected honest broker in the region to becoming a strident cheerleader for only one side?” I could never find an answer that made sense.
Pentagon: Armed drones guard US interests in Iraq
“The reason that some of those aircraft are armed is primarily for force protection reasons now that we have introduced into the country some military advisers whose objective will be to operate outside the confines of the embassy,” the Defense Department’s press secretary, Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby, told a Pentagon press conference.

Desperate politics: Imran issues ‚tsunami march‘ ultimatum
„What was the role of former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry in the elections?,“ he asked. Imran Khan also criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and warned him not to politicise the issue of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). He accused Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif of keeping him in dark about the North Waziristan operation. He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would make appropriate plans for the IDPs. Imran condemned the Sindh as well as Punjab governments for imposing ban on the entry of IDPs to the provinces. „Why have they shut doors on the IDPs? Aren‘t they (the IDPs) Pakistanis?“ he asked.

Five Year Anniversary of the June 28, 2009 SOA Graduate-led Coup in Honduras
Five years ago, SOA graduate Romeo Vasquez Velasquez and others forced their way into the home of democratically elected Honduran President Mel Zelaya and put him onto an airplane out of the country, an airplane that first stopped to re-fuel at the US Palmerola military base. As Hondurans massively mobilized to demand the return of their President, they were met with repression and violence that continues today. The ultra-right party that took power in the military coup consolidated their stranglehold on the country through elections marked by fraud and vote buying this past November. Now, with murders and killings taking place across the country, the judicial system seems to be more efficient at prosecuting those who speak up for justice than those who murder and plunder the country. The government has intensely militarized the country in the name of security while meticulously turning Honduras‘ resources and public goods over to private corporations. It‘s no wonder thousands of children are fleeing Honduras to the United States.

Angara rocket’s maiden flight postponed
Angara, which is named after a river in Siberia, is the first new orbit-capable rocket to be developed by Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union. Designed with a modular approach, it is capable of flying in multiple configurations depending upon mission or payload requirements.
The Angara family of rockets are based around the Universalniy Raketniy Modul (URM), or Universal Rocket Module – analogous to the Common Core Boosters and Common Booster Cores of the American Atlas V and Delta IV rockets. Powered by a single RD-191M engine, the URM-1 forms the first stage of all Angara configurations.
