During a rally in Tennessee on Saturday, President Trump repeatedly misnamed Michigan’s Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El‑Sayed as “Mohammed,” calling him a “jihadist.”
President Donald Trump: “Like Mohammed El-Sayed — I call him Mohammed. Somebody said, ‚His name isn‘t Mohammed; it’s Abdul.’ I said, ‚To me, it‘s Mohammed.’ I’m the president. I can call him whatever the hell I want. To me, he’s Mohammed, and he’s a radical jihadist.”
