The beauty of the human race is in its diversity.

We are all connected and we are stronger when we come together. Only ego, beliefs and fears separate us. #weareone #morelove

Donald Trump‘s most bone-chilling tweet

On Saturday morning, President Donald Trump may have unleashed his most bone-chilling tweet — at least to those who believe the United States should not become a Trump-led dictatorship. And I don‘t make that comment simply to be provocative or without giving it a great deal of thought. Our democracy is far more fragile than some might grasp and Trump is engaging in a concerted effort to undermine the workings of it.

Can Netanyahu say just what he likes?

(25.10.2015) A political consultant once related how he lunched with Benjamin Netanyahu, who ordered a hamburger with fries. He was not supposed to be eating such foods – doctor’s orders. As they were finishing up, Bibi’s wife, Sarah, came in, saw the evidence and began to see red. Netanyahu, all righteous indignation, looked her straight in the eye and said he had eaten no such hamburger. The storyteller said he was convinced at that moment that Netanyahu himself believed it.

If apocryphal, it is definitely in character.

Fox News host Bill O‘Reilly described Putin as „a killer“ in the interview with Trump as he tried to press the U.S. president to explain more fully why he respected his Russian counterpart. O‘Reilly did not say who he thought Putin had killed.

The U.S. military‘s stats on deadly airstrikes are wrong. Thousands have gone unreported

In 2016 alone, U.S. combat aircraft conducted at least 456 airstrikes in Afghanistan that were not recorded as part of an open-source database maintained by the U.S. Air Force, information relied on by Congress, American allies, military analysts, academic researchers, the media and independent watchdog groups to assess each war‘s expense, manpower requirements and human toll. Those airstrikes were carried out by attack helicopters and armed drones operated by the U.S. Army, metrics quietly excluded from otherwise comprehensive monthly summaries, published online for years, detailing American military activity in all three theaters.

Most alarming is the prospect this data has been incomplete since the war on terrorism began in October 2001.

MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE BRIEF OF TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES AND OTHER BUSINESSES AS AMICUS CURIAE IN SUPPORT OF APPELLEES

The Equal Protection Clause bars all federal officials, including the President, from treating individuals differently because of their national origin. The Order violates these basic precepts. It bars anyone from seven countries from immigrating to the United States for a period of 90 days, and provides that the President may indefinitely bar immigration from other countries, as well. Order § 3(c), (e)-(f). The Order thus does exactly what section 1152(a)(1)(A) and the Constitution prohibit: it discriminates against immigrants on the basis of nationali-ty. See Olsen v. Albright, 990 F. Supp. 31, 39 (D.D.C. 1997) (“The principle that government must not discriminate against particular individuals because of the color of their skin or the place of their birth means that the use of generalizations based on these factors [in the immigration context] is unfair and unjustified.”).
