Most news media dismissed Rand Paulâs tax plan, like his candidacy for president, as a nonstarter. But many of those reports failed to grasp a gigantic part of the plan. They also wrongly concluded that the flat tax was a big break for high-income people but not so good for middle-income people.
Letâs take a closer look at the plan the Republican senator from Kentucky proposes.

The family of a friend is divided: her husband and her two children, 20 and 21, will vote âNOâ in Sundayâs referendum, while she â a left-wing voter all through her voting life â was still undecided on early Saturday afternoon. âHm⊠I donât know yet, I despise the old corrupt politicians but Iâm scared about our economic future,â Eleni tells me.

Greece: Kammenos accuses Greek media of terrorism as he casts ballot
Greece‘s Defence Minister Panos Kammenos accused the media of trying to terrorise the Greek people, while speaking to journalists in Athens, Sunday. His remarks come after he cast his vote in an unprecedented referendum whether to accept to the bailout terms imposed by Greece‘s creditors. Kammenos also criticised the European Union for „abolishing nation-states“ and insinuated that it too has attempted to terrorise the Greek people.
