60 human rights groups call for release of Moroccan journalist

Having studied the news article, entitled “For the first time Al-Qaeda attacks King Mohamed VI”, published on 13 September 2013 on the Lakome.com website, we deem the charges by the General Prosecutor that the article constitutes materially assisting, advocating terrorism and inciting terrorists‘ acts as baseless and unsupported by the evidence. In his article, Ali Anouzla simply talks about the content of an Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQMI) video that he qualifies as “propaganda”, and provides an indirect link to it.

Snowden honored by U.S. whistleblowers in Moscow as his father arrives, hoping to visit

Thomas Drake, a former NSA executive who became a critic of the agency, praised Snowden for speaking truth to power.

“Russia, to its credit, recognized international law and granted him asylum,” he said, asserting that U.S. officials drove Snowden into Russia’s arms by making him stateless. The United States points out that Snowden remains a citizen even though his passport was revoked and that he should return home to answer the charges against him.

“This is an extraordinary person,” said Ray McGovern, a former CIA analyst. “He’s convinced what he did was right.”

Justin Amash: Mike Rogers Isn‘t Overseeing The Intelligence Community, He‘s Conspiring To Cover Up Its Activities

Rep. Justin Amash has been highlighting for months how Rep. Mike Rogers, the head of the House Intelligence Committee seems to have gone out of his way to withhold information from Congress. In a recent speech, he teed off on Rogers, noting that while his job as head of the Intelligence Committee is supposed to be „oversight,“ it‘s actually been one of collusion with the White House to „cover up“ the intelligence community‘s activities.

Andrew P. Napolitano – Bevor Sie jubeln …

Republicans are Winning the Shutdown Despite the GOP Establishment Attempts to Snatch Defeat from the Jaws of Victory

The fact that Jay Carney is out there saying the president has been open to negotiations all year long and remains so today means that the polling data or the focus grouping, whatever they‘re doing, must really be bad for them. We‘re just supposed to forget? Just a couple of days ago Obama said he would never negotiate on this.

NSA‘s Keith Alexander Doubles Down On His Plan To Spy On Wall Street To ‚Protect‘ Wall Street

Keith Alexander still doesn‘t seem to realize that the public has seen through his bullshit, because he keeps doubling down. There were numerous reports this week on a speech Alexander gave, in which he talked up his plan to „protect“ Wall Street by getting access to the financial industry‘s networks.
