Premier Salam said at the beginning of the Cabinet session held at the Grand Serail: „Since the start of the war imposed on Lebanon, the Lebanese government has continuously worked to bring it to an end and to spare Lebanon and the Lebanese people further harm.

Today, we hope that the ceasefire announced by the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran will succeed in putting an end to this war and stopping the killing, destruction, displacement, and all the tragedies and suffering inflicted upon the Lebanese people. I can only extend my sincere thanks to all those who contributed to reaching this outcome.“
