French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the recently announced ceasefire between the United States and Iran during a phone call on Saturday, emphasizing the need to extend it to Lebanon.

The call comes as direct negotiations between the United States and Iran began in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, earlier on Saturday.
