Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says he has spoken with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, promising his country’s help in bringing peace to the region.

“We discussed the grave situation in the Gulf region and agreed on the urgent need for de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy,” Sharif said in a social media post.
