Serbia’s ex-minister: western interference is the root cause behind the Ukrainian drama

Moskau: US-Gesetz verbietet Hilfe für neue Regierung in Kiew

Ein US-Gesetz aus dem Jahr 1961 untersage die Hilfe an die Regierung jedes Landes, dessen ordnungsgemäß gewählter Staatschef durch einen Militärputsch oder rechtswidrigen Beschluss abgesetzt wurde, kommentierte das russische Außenamt. Deshalb wären Finanzhilfen für das nichtlegitime Regime in Kiew, das die Macht gewaltsam ergriffen habe, rechtswidrig.

Krim verbietet nationalistische Partei „Swoboda“ und „Rechten Sektor“

Für das Verbot der beiden Organisationen, deren Aktivisten an den blutigen Zusammenstößen in Kiew teilgenommen hatten, stimmte der Oberste Rat der Krim am Dienstag. Zur Begründung hieß es, dass diese Organisationen, die für ihre anti-russisch Rhetorik bekannt sind, für die Bevölkerung der russisch geprägten Krim eine Lebensgefahr darstellen würden. „Die Behörden der Autonomen Republik treffen alle möglichen Maßnahmen, um ein Gelangen der Extremisten auf die Krim zu verhindern“, so das Parlament der Schwarzmeer-Halbinsel.

Paul Ryan’s ‘unfortunate’ poverty report

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has been pretty aggressive in recent months about leaking word of his recent policy focus on poverty. The far-right congressman has periodically let major news outlets know he now hopes to “help” those who would suffer most under his own budget plan: low-income families.

And so, as Ned Resnikoff reported, it didn’t come as much of a surprise when Ryan yesterday issued a 204-page report, called “The War on Poverty: 50 Years Later,” condemning a variety of federal efforts to reduce poverty in the United States.

Greek deputy minister accuses the Troika of ‘serving private sector interests’

Deputy Transport Minister Michalis Papadoulos dropped a bomb-shell that exploded in the face of the Troika and also expressed the frustration of many officials in the Greek coalition government. Referring to the often absurd demands tabled by the chief auditors controlling Greece, Papadopoulos blamed the Troika for blocking an overall agreements and accused the representatives of the country’s lenders for “serving interests of the private sector”.

Senator Feinstein Finally Finds Surveillance To Get Angry About: When It Happened To Her Staffers

Feinstein is apparently quite furious about all of this and let loose this morning about the CIA, claiming that they not only spied on the staffers, but secretly removed documents from the computers the staffers were using. She directly claimed that the CIA „may have undermined the constitutional framework“ of Congressional oversight. That‘s not a charge one throws around lightly.

Politik beginnt bekanntlich mit der Betrachtung der Wirklichkeit. Aber unsere Politik darf nicht dabei stehen bleiben, sonst bleiben wir richtungs- und wirkungslos. Unsere Träume sind stärker als Furcht und Resignation. Sie treiben uns an und halten uns zusammen und deswegen sind sie so gefährlich für die Herrschenden und ihre Tunnelparteien. Trotz all unserer Differenzen und Unterschiede, so eine große Bewegung wie die unsere hat auch einen großen Traum verdient, eine Traum, der uns zusammen und wachsam hält.

India willing to pay Iran for crude oil in a currency of its choice

“We are still awaiting their (Iran’s) response,” a senior Petroleum Ministry official said. India is hoping that Iran’s recent talks with the U.S. would give some space and clarity on the currency in which the payments have to be made.

Recently, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif was quoted as being disappointed with India’s decision to cut oil imports following U.S. sanctions.
