„UTRAN (Universal terrestrial radio access network) is a term that identifies the radio access network of a UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System), wherein the UTRAN consists of Radio Network Controllers (RNCs) and NodeBs i.e. radio base stations. The NodeBs communicate wirelessly with mobile user equipments and the RNCs control the NodeBs. The RNCs are further connected to the Core Network (CN). Evolved UTRAN (E-UTRAN) is an evolution of the UTRAN towards a high-data rate, low-latency and packet-optimised radio access network. Further the E-UTRAN does only consist of eNodeBs (evolved NodeBs), and the eNodeBs are interconnected and further connected to the Evolved Packet Core network (EPC). E-UTRAN is also being referred to as Long Term Evolution (LTE) and is standardized within the 3.sup.rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

Teen corn detasselers accidentally sprayed with fungicide

A farm chemical accident in Champaign County sent 70 teens to the hospital Thursday.

According to Pesotum firefighters, workers were detasseling corn in a field when a Monsanto crop-dusting plane accidentally sprayed them with chemicals.

A hazardous materials crew was called to the scene to decontaminate, and the teens were rushed to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued certificates for two types of unmanned aircraft for civilian use. The move is expected to lead to the first approved commercial drone operation later this summer.

Thousands of demonstrators have gathered across Germany in support of Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning, as German writers published an open letter to Chancellor Merkel demanding explanations over the country’s involvement in the NSA spying program.

Protests were organized in at least 40 German cities, including Hamburg, Munich, and Berlin, with the largest rally taking place in Frankfurt.

Death toll in Egypt massacre reaches 200

Accoridng to the lastest numbers, 200 people were killed and 4,500 injured on Saturday when security forces opened fire on a protest by supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsi in Cairo.

„They are not shooting to wound, they are shooting to kill,“ Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Gehad El-Haddad said. „The bullet wounds are in the head and chest.“

The Health Ministry, meanwhile, increased its recognized death toll from 21 to 46 people, while claiming that 649 people were wounded.

Die Polizei von Scotia and Schenectady County hatte im März zweimal einen verdeckten Ermittler zur Observation in das Geschäft geschickt. Dort legte dieser Crack auf die Ladentheke und fotografierte die Szene als Beweismittel, dass er das Kokain gerade illegal dort gekauft hat. Der Afroamerikaner Donald Andrews wurde daraufhin wegen Rauschgifthandel verhaftet.

Doch dieser üble “Deal” flog auf. Zur Rechenschaft gezogen konnte der Agent nicht, denn dieser ist untergetaucht.
