The U.S. Senate has begun debating a war powers resolution, which was introduced by Senator Tim Kaine.

On Wednesday, Kaine spoke on the Senate floor, urging other members of the congressional chamber to pass the resolution to „prevent further escalation of hostilities with Iran without congressional authorization.“
