“Turkey is one of the countries responsible for the situation in Syria,” Freedom and Solidarity Party (ÖDP) leader Alper Taş told Ahval.

Turkish troops, backed by their Islamist Syrian allies, seized the Syrian town of Afrin last month after a two-month offensive against Syrian Kurdish forces. Turkey now controls a swathe of territory in northern and northwestern Syria and has threatened to capture northeastern Syria from the Kurds.
