Brazil holds the 7th largest uranium geological reserve in the world: about 309.000t of U3O8 in the States of Bahia, Ceará, Paraná and Minas Gerais. Brazil also holds an estimated 300,000 tons of uranium oxide in the Pitinga deposit in the Amazonas State and Carajás in the Pará State.
