Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party is on its way towards the opposition, Likud whip MK Miki Zohar stated after the faction was defeated in a Knesset (Israel Parliament) vote on the formation of a key committee.

„We understand and we adopt the idea that we are headed in the direction of the opposition,“ he said during a meeting of the Knesset’s Arrangements Committee.
